New Music for Fall 2024

Alejandro Guardia, Jr. (born in 1983) is a composer, performer, and educator based in South Florida. He started playing the Euphonium in 7th grade and later mastered the Trombone and Tuba. Known for his original compositions, Alejandro creates music that connects with audiences and explores different emotions and experiences. His portfolio includes pieces for low brass instruments, ranging from solos to chamber music. Alejandro's music has been performed at festivals and conferences worldwide. He is recognized for his work with Marching Bands, Drum Corps, and WGI Winds and collaborates with educators in the region.

In addition to his music career, Alejandro is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Florida Atlantic University, where he is pursuing a Master's in Music Composition. He is also a member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity (Rho Eta chapter), ITEA, NAfME, ASCAP, AFM 655, and the FBA.

Alejandro is also an XO Professional Brass artist known for his skill with the XO1270s Euphonium. His career is marked by innovation, mentorship, and artistic brilliance, making him a prominent figure in the flourishing musical scene of South Florida and beyond.
